WA Oceana Fest is a culinary competition, organised on behalf of the Australian Culinary Federation of Western Australia (ACFWA) which tests the skills of Chefs on an individual and team basis. The judging is based on established international culinary criteria.

After a resounding success in past years 2007 is already looking to be an even bigger success as the Salon Olympia Culinaire and Alinta Restaurant of Champions team event will be held in conjunction with FINE FOODS PERTH 2007 at the PERTH CONVENTION & EXHIBITION CENTRE from March 25th to 27th 2007

Salon Olympia Culinaire sees individuals competing in a number of areas in both hot kitchen and/or cold static display and is open to a wide range of competitors including apprentices, commercial cookery students and chefs.
The Salon Olympia Culinaire awards are highly coveted within the hospitality trade and we expect competition to be keen with over 200 competitors competing in a range of category's.

The MLA Restaurant of Champions is a nerve racking event that requires culinary teams to prepare a 3 course meal for 60 paying guests within full view of the judges, guests and the general public.
Four teams will complete each day over the four days of WA Oceana Fest, with the winner being the team who scores the most points.
Judging is to international standards, with judges being sourced both locally and interstate.

The MLA Restaurant of Champions Teams generally consist of some of the finest Chefs in both WA, Australia and this year even New Zealand who will often train for months to perfect every detail of their menu and ensure their timing is perfect.
